“The Voice Connecting Israel and the Iranian People”

Chosen for building one of the most distinctive voices in the global fight for Israel, while creating an extraordinary bridge between Israelis and ordinary Iranians: Emily Schrader has become one of the most prominent American-Israeli journalists and digital advocates focused on Israel, Iran and the battle against antisemitism and disinformation. Through television, podcasts, public speaking and social media, she has built a reported audience of more than 700,000 followers, including over 100,000 inside Iran.

A free Iran that is friendly to the Democratic West would truly be a game-changer.

Emily Schrader, March 2026

In 2026, as confrontation with Tehran again became one of the defining issues facing Israel and the Middle East, Schrader emerged as an unusually direct link to the Iranian people themselves. As founder of the Iran Israel Alliance, she has spent years distinguishing between the Islamic Republic and the Iranian population it governs, amplifying Iranian dissidents and arguing that Israelis and Iranians should see one another as potential allies rather than inevitable enemies.

That work took on new significance this year. Schrader became involved in initiatives designed to help Iranians overcome the regime's control of communications and financial infrastructure, including a joint effort bringing together Israeli technology veterans and Iranian underground networks. She has also advised lawmakers in North America and Europe on Iran policy and participated in international forums focused on the future of Iran.

Perhaps the clearest measure of the impact she has made came from Tehran itself. In July, the Islamic Republic placed Schrader No. 2 on an official list of "hostile media persons" under legislation targeting those accused of cooperating with Israel and hostile states, recognition of just how deeply her message has penetrated inside Iran.

At the same time, Schrader has remained a powerful defender of Israel in the international information war. She hosts JNS's "Axis of Truth," co-hosts "The Quad," works as an ILTV news anchor and foreign correspondent, and uses her platforms to challenge narratives surrounding Israel, Hamas, Iran and Qatar. Her 2025 book, 10 Things Every Jew Should Know Before They Go to College, extended that mission to Jewish students confronting antisemitism and anti-Zionism on campuses.

From defending Israel before global audiences to giving Iranian dissidents a voice and imagining a future alliance between two peoples whose governments have been enemies for decades, Emily Schrader has turned journalism and social media into instruments of diplomacy, advocacy and resistance.

That is why Emily Schrader is the People's Choice and is No. 36 on The 36.
